Imagery drawn from the illuminated manuscript Royal MS 11 E XI, created for Henry VIII in Antwerp, c. 1516. This necklace features a vivid Tudor-style rose motif - crimson petals, bright green leaves, and that warm golden ground that’s so distinctive in manuscripts made for the early Tudor court. These painted florals once appeared as part of ornate borders meant to honor lineage, devotion, and royal identity.
Each shield-shaped component is hand-cut from the sourced imagery and preserved under resin, linked in a graceful arc that sits beautifully along the collarbone. The necklace is finished with a 16" gold plated brass chain, giving it a soft, warm glow and a gentle historical elegance.
Bold, blooming, and unmistakably Tudor.

Care
Care
Cherish your Folkloric Jewelry with a touch of tender care to maintain its magic and charm. Our pieces are handcrafted using decoupage techniques and sealed to protect the artistry, though they should not be worn in water, such as showers or swimming pools, to preserve their beauty. Sterling silver elements may develop a patina over time and can be revived with a simple polish. Our bronze chain necklaces are treated with a non-tarnishing solution, but to avoid possible reactions with sweat, it's best not to wear them during intense activities. Remember, any small imperfections are part of the unique handcrafted nature of each piece.
