Featuring imagery from the 1506 French translation of Xenophon’s Anabasis—a manuscript created for Henry VII and gifted by Claude de Seyssel—this necklace highlights a small painted rosebud tucked into the book’s lush marginal florals. These tiny botanical motifs once decorated the pages of the king’s richly appointed library at Richmond Palace, meant to charm and delight as he read.

The Dulcet pendant is made from hand-cut paper imagery preserved under resin, paired with a beautifully faceted green onyx drop that feels like a jewel carried straight out of a Tudor garden. It hangs from a 16" gold plated brass chain, giving it a soft, warm glow and an easy everyday elegance.

A little bloom from a royal manuscript, now a tiny keepsake to wear close.

Care

Cherish your Folkloric Jewelry with a touch of tender care to maintain its magic and charm. Our pieces are handcrafted using decoupage techniques and sealed to protect the artistry, though they should not be worn in water, such as showers or swimming pools, to preserve their beauty. Sterling silver elements may develop a patina over time and can be revived with a simple polish. Our bronze chain necklaces are treated with a non-tarnishing solution, but to avoid possible reactions with sweat, it's best not to wear them during intense activities. Remember, any small imperfections are part of the unique handcrafted nature of each piece.
