Featuring imagery from a 1506 French translation of Xenophon’s Anabasis—a lavishly illuminated manuscript created for Henry VII and gifted to him by Claude de Seyssel—these earrings draw from two distinct parts of the book: the bright, detailed marginal florals and the richly painted Tudor arms that mark the manuscript’s opening pages.
The three-piece tiered design lets each circle tell its own part of the story: tiny blue creatures nestled among grape leaves, winding botanical motifs, and at the base, the gold-on-lapis royal quartering painted to delight a king who adored history.
Each component is hand-cut from paper imagery and sealed under resin, connected with bronze jump rings and finished with secure surgical steel posts. Lightweight, expressive, and full of Tudor-era charm, they feel like wearing a page of royal history in motion.

Care
Care
Cherish your Folkloric Jewelry with a touch of tender care to maintain its magic and charm. Our pieces are handcrafted using decoupage techniques and sealed to protect the artistry, though they should not be worn in water, such as showers or swimming pools, to preserve their beauty. Sterling silver elements may develop a patina over time and can be revived with a simple polish. Our bronze chain necklaces are treated with a non-tarnishing solution, but to avoid possible reactions with sweat, it's best not to wear them during intense activities. Remember, any small imperfections are part of the unique handcrafted nature of each piece.
