Imagery drawn from the illuminated manuscript Royal MS 19 C VI, a 1506 French translation of Xenophon’s Anabasis created for Henry VII and gifted by Claude de Seyssel.
These earrings feature a section of swirling medieval foliage—rich blues, soft greens, warm ochres, and tiny black tracery—painted in the margins to delight a king who loved beautifully decorated books.

Each Victoria-shaped piece is hand-cut from the sourced imagery and preserved under resin, finished with gold fill earwires and glowing brass-banded lapis drops that echo the manuscript’s brilliant blues. Lightweight, colorful, and full of movement, they’re tiny Tudor-era flourishes brought forward into the present.

Care

Cherish your Folkloric Jewelry with a touch of tender care to maintain its magic and charm. Our pieces are handcrafted using decoupage techniques and sealed to protect the artistry, though they should not be worn in water, such as showers or swimming pools, to preserve their beauty. Sterling silver elements may develop a patina over time and can be revived with a simple polish. Our bronze chain necklaces are treated with a non-tarnishing solution, but to avoid possible reactions with sweat, it's best not to wear them during intense activities. Remember, any small imperfections are part of the unique handcrafted nature of each piece.
