Featuring imagery from the frontispiece of British Library Royal MS 12 C VIII (commissioned for Henry VIII, early-16th century), this necklace centers on a trio of richly painted blooms—two golden flowers flanking a crimson rose, all set against a luminous lapis ground. These florals once adorned the margin of an illuminated book, rendered with care that still feels alive centuries later.

The round pendant is hand-cut, collaged, and sealed in resin for clarity and preservation. A warm gold-plated brass chain gives it an easy, elegant presence, while the deep red carnelian gemstone drop adds a soft, romantic glow. Lightweight, colorful, and full of medieval botanical charm, it feels like wearing a tiny illuminated garden close to the heart.

Gold plated brass chain. 16"

Care

Cherish your Folkloric Jewelry with a touch of tender care to maintain its magic and charm. Our pieces are handcrafted using decoupage techniques and sealed to protect the artistry, though they should not be worn in water, such as showers or swimming pools, to preserve their beauty. Sterling silver elements may develop a patina over time and can be revived with a simple polish. Our bronze chain necklaces are treated with a non-tarnishing solution, but to avoid possible reactions with sweat, it's best not to wear them during intense activities. Remember, any small imperfections are part of the unique handcrafted nature of each piece.
