These Victoria Dangles feature miniature portraits sourced from a watercolor and pencil series painted circa 1836 by American folk artist Justus Dalee (fl. ca. 1826–1847). The images depict Nathaniel Scudder Prime Crocker and Mary Wood Crocker of the Crocker/Norton family of Cambridge, New York — a lineage steeped in Revolutionary War service, early colonial roots, and richly woven family stories.
Each oval earring carries a paper-and-resin fragment of these dignified silhouettes — one male, one female — rendered with the precision and delicacy that made Dalee’s portraits so prized. Suspended below, luminous freshwater pearls echo the refinement of 19th-century adornment and add gentle movement.

Care
Care
Cherish your Folkloric Jewelry with a touch of tender care to maintain its magic and charm. Our pieces are handcrafted using decoupage techniques and sealed to protect the artistry, though they should not be worn in water, such as showers or swimming pools, to preserve their beauty. Sterling silver elements may develop a patina over time and can be revived with a simple polish. Our bronze chain necklaces are treated with a non-tarnishing solution, but to avoid possible reactions with sweat, it's best not to wear them during intense activities. Remember, any small imperfections are part of the unique handcrafted nature of each piece.
