Drawn from the soaring ceiling of Allegory of Divine Providence and Barberini Power by Pietro da Cortona, this ring carries a fragment of a grand Baroque vision into something intimate and wearable. The image comes from a celestial figure drifting among garlands and symbols of abundance, painted to embody Divine Providence; the unseen hand of care, continuity, and order guiding the world below.
This is a piece for Emma when she’s drawn to objects that feel quietly meaningful rather than declarative. A small reminder of protection, grace, and the beauty of forces working gently in the background—meant to be worn close, like a private talisman rather than a statement.

Collectors Notes:
The original fresco was completed in the 1630s on the ceiling of the Palazzo Barberini, commissioned by the powerful Barberini family. Cortona’s allegorical figures—floating, entwined, and purposeful—were designed to be read slowly, symbol by symbol. This fragment preserves that spirit on a much smaller scale: history distilled into something personal, contemplative, and enduring.
